This is an easy fundraiser idea for any group, whether it’s a school, church, nonprofit, or cause-related organization. Doing a ‘chair-ity’ fundraiser is so simple, and yet so profitable, that you’ll be amazed at your results.
You see, a chair-ity fundraiser revolves around fundraising with chairs, new or used, it doesn’t matter. What matters is simply the presentation. That is, what gets added to the chair in the way of decoration, accessories, and enhancements.
Calling all chairs
Put the word out to your supporters about your chair-ity event.

Ask each one to put together a unique chair for your group to auction off.

Donations can be rocking chairs, kitchen chairs, children’s chairs, computer chairs, recliners, car seats, bar stools, etc.
Each chair should have a theme and be decorated and accessorized accordingly. For example, a child’s chair could be freshly painted to cover wear and have a teddy bear painted on the seat with a matching teddy bear resting in it.

A computer chair could have a new monitor, printer software or other accessories with it. A kitchen chair could have a cookbook, a grocery store gift Voip, a new blender, or Tupperware collection.

A rocking chair could have an afghan, family photo album, case of lemonade, or new slippers. A car seat could have baby food, diapers, play toys, or baby store gift certificate.
The bar stool could have drink recipes, a box of assorted liquor, drink glasses, bartending lessons, or similar items.

The recliner could be accompanied by a case of beer, pretzels, deluxe remote control, or big screen TV.
The important thing is that each be unique, creative, and desirable.
Mobile Phones tips
Go all out for your chair-ity auction event. Arrange your chairs around the perimeter of your room in an attractive display and place silent auction bid sheets next to each one. Emphasize the retail value of each package and use command language like ‘Bid Right Now’ at the top of each bid sheet.

Make the descriptive signs easy to read with large fonts and tape them down next to the bid sheets along with a handy pen. Have your volunteers get the bidding started on each one with a opening bid.
Choose out your top award-winning chair packages and place blue ribbon medals on those to increase bids. Give the creator of each category’s winning chair a gift certificate donated by a sponsor.
You can also do other fundraising activities at your chair-ity auction such as a raffle for donated prizes. To maximize revenue, be sure to sell raffle tickets well ahead of the event, not just at the door.

A good raffle can easily net $5,000 or more.
Sell food and Goal Setting, include a bake sale, or offer other related fundraising products such as fast food discount cards, Tupperware, or Pampered Chef items.

You might also consider doing a live auction of the most desirable chairs or auction off donated items unrelated to the theme. Having a central focus of the event that keeps people around bidding right up to the deadline is always a good thing, so you could also offer live entertainment.

Publicity tips
A big turnout is the key to your fundraiser event’s success, so you have to get the word out in every way possible.

Use roadside signs, posters, flyers, Psychology, emails, phone trees, and word of mouth.
An effective press release can work wonders, so make yours shine by focusing on the unique aspect of your chair-ity event, the chairs themselves. Your summary paragraph should highlight that along with how the funds raised will be used.
Send it to all the major media contacts in your market at least two weeks before your event. Then place follow-up calls to newspapers, radio and television stations to stimulate coverage.

Remember that it does you no good to get coverage the day of the event, so invite them to a special sneak preview of all the great chairs!
Chair-ity Wrap-up
Your group of supporters will amaze you with their creativity and thoughtfulness when you ask for their chairs.

Focus on getting a big turnout by making it a fun event and include multiple fundraising activities.

Work with local businesses for donations, gift certificates, and sponsorships.

Turn this easy fundraiser idea into your best chair-ity event ever!.

A spaghetti dinner fundraiser is a tried and true fundraising event, but many groups overlook additional profit opportunities. Just putting together the spaghetti dinner is not enough.
You need to give people a strong reason to attend and then you have to provide them with multiple ways to help raise the needed funds. Here are some event tips on maximizing turnout and several fundraising activities you can easily add to your event.

Publicity
Many groups overlook the power of publicity and wonder why they didn’t get a bigger crowd.

Improve your turnout with a press release focusing on the most newsworthy aspect of your event.

A human interest story is always newsworthy, so be sure your summary paragraph details why you are raising funds and how they will benefit the recipient.
Newspapers, radio stations, and television stations all want to offer news stories that have widespread appeal and tug at the heartstrings, so be sure your press release has a newsworthy angle. Include pictures whenever possible because a good picture practically guarantees lots of publicity.
Ticket prices
Once your publicity campaign ensures a good turnout, make sure you price your tickets correctly. Too cheap and you won’t raise enough funds.

Make them too expensive and you’ll price yourself out of the reach of many customers.
It’s usually best to keep ticket prices fairly low and offer discounts for families, small children, college students, and senior citizens.
Donations
Place a large jug or bucket right next to the cash register and hang a large sign above it asking for donations. Attach a sheet of paper to the donation container saying something like ‘Every Little Bit Helps’ or ‘Donations Always Welcome’ or ‘Make Checks Payable To. ‘
Oftentimes, you can raise as much in donations as you did with ticket sales.

The key is prominent placement where wallets and checkbooks are already out. Even if people only donate their change from buying tickets, you are ahead of the game.
Silent auctions
At any fundraising event, silent auction items are a great way to raise money. Ask local business to donate goods or services and then place those items on tables where people wait in line.
Include a full description of each item in large, easy-to-read type. Tape down your bid sheets and pens so that it’s easy for an adult to bid while using only one hand.

Raffle tickets
Conducting a raffle is another great way to Movie Reviews at your spaghetti dinner. Take the best item or service that was donated and sell raffle tickets both before and during the event.
If you can’t get a good enough prize that will attract more in raffle ticket sales than it will sell for, then consider offering a cash raffle.

What you do is offer tickets where the prize winner gets half of the total raffle ticket sales and the other half goes to the cause.
Again, the best place to sell the tickets is right near the cash register where people already have money in hand.

Other fundraising ideas
There are lots of other ways to add fundraising activities to a spaghetti dinner.

You can sell advertising space on the placemats. You can use local celebrities as waiters. You can ask local businesses to be sponsors of your event.

In certain cases, you could offer a cash bar or include a wine tasting as part of the event.

You could ask a local celebrity chef to participate and cook a special tableside dessert for an extra fee or as a prize of some sort.

The key is to include as many fundraising activities as possible and extend your reach even to people who can’t make it to the event through raffle ticket sales, silent auction items, etc.
Summary
You first task is to get as many attendees as possible, so use every form of publicity. A good newsworthy press release is one way to maximize turnout.

Another is to promote heavily through newsletters, roadside signs, and word-of-mouth.
Offering raffle tickets and silent auction items are proven ways to raise more funds at any event. Providing an easy way to accept donations is often overlooked, but very worthwhile.

Include as many fundraising activities as possible and your spaghetti dinner fundraiser will be a resounding success!.

To get the most out of any fundraiser, every participant needs to give their all from start to finish. This includes your team members, parents, coaches, and other volunteers.
To keep everyone’s interest from waning, make sure that you include fun in your fundraiser each step of the way.
Ten ways to put fun in your fundraising:
1- Do fun things
2- Use fun incentives
3- Take pictures
4- Show appreciation
5- Give out fun merchant prizes
6- Build in fun goals
7- Blend fun, food and fundraising
8- Create fun completion activities
9- Say thank you
10- Have a cast party
Do fun things
Don’t make it drudgery to be a volunteer or a participant.

Remember that they’re giving up their free time to help.

Plan fun things to do during each stage of the process that will reward everyone. Not only will it be a more rewarding experience for everyone involved, but you will keep your participants and volunteers eager for the next fundraiser.
And we all know there will be another one sooner rather than later!
Make sure they remember the fun, not just the hard work.
Use fun incentives
Offer a Cream Pie Attack party to all sellers or participants reaching a certain level.

Have a fun day where key Music figures do funny things for meeting goals.

Extreme examples include shaving their heads or dyeing their hair blue.
Some safer, less long-lasting examples could be wearing a funny wig, dressing like a clown, risk the dunking booth, and so on.
Be creative and use an idea that is appropriate to your group.
Kids and adults love these types of incentives and they don’t cut into your hard earned cash.
Take fun pictures
Everybody loves to see themselves in a picture. Take plenty of candid shots.

Have everybody pose and ham it up for a group photo.
Be sure to post them where everyone can enjoy them. You could even reward your picture posers with prizes for the best smile, the goofiest pose, or the worst dressed.
Ask volunteers to take pictures throughout the fundraising process so there will be a variety of photos and you can be sure that everyone will be included.

If possible, have a “movie” made of your group during each phase of the fundraising process and show the movie at a wrap up event.
Show appreciation
Show your appreciation to all levels of your organization and supporter base.

Be sure to do fun things that aren’t fundraisers.

For example, line up discounts on tickets to athletic events, go on group outings, provide goodies for volunteers during working sessions.
Give out fun merchant prizes
Work with local merchants for great prizes that mean the most to
your group.

Work deals for movie passes, merchandise discounts, gift certificates, miniature golf, or IMAX theater trips for your top performing participants.
As always, make sure there is something in it for the merchant, otherwise you are just another stranger begging for their money or services.
Build in fun goals
Do an event based solely on having fun. Have key Babies members commit to doing crazy things once certain revenue goals are reached, in whatever increments are most appropriate for your group and goals.
Let things build to the climactic moment where the head cheese does the ultimate “fun thing” as a way to reward the group for all their support.

A fond memory in the making is for the coaching staff to stand on their heads and sing “Row, row, row your boat” in rounds.
Blend fun, food and fundraising
Remember that you can blend fun into even the most traditional fundraising events.
Everybody knows what a bake sale is, right? Use a cake walk to sell a large portion of your donated sweets.
Kids love it and you’ll get more for the desserts than if you sold them outright. Consider having awards for the various submissions and then auctioning off the best dessert.

Create fun completion activities
These will motivate your sellers and volunteers as much or more as winning actual prizes.
Think about low cost fun events that you could tie to completing certain tasks, for example:
Top sales group gets a water balloon fight, all volunteers play in a Powder Puff touch football game, or an ultimate Frisbee match.
Say thank you
You can’t say thank you often enough to your Stress Management and your participants.

Show your appreciation with heartfelt words and deeds.
Have a cast party
Have one for all volunteers at conclusion. Get together at someone’s home or in the fellowship hall with everyone bringing potluck.

It’s a nice way to build goodwill and reinforce a sense of community for future recruiting.
Conclusion
In remembering the fun in fundraising, be sure that each activity, prize or reward is age and group Consumer Electronics.
Also, remember the other volunteers

A great warm-weather fundraising event is a golf fundraiser. Hosting your own golf tournament is actually fairly easy and if done right, you can raise a significant amount of money. Here are some tips for maximizing your results.
Big turnout
Obviously, the bigger the crowd, the better you’ll do with your tournament. Promote with quality posters at golf stores, your own offices, and other high-traffic, high-visibility locations.

Use your newsletter and email lists as additional ways to get the word out.
Distribute a press release about your golf fundraiser to all your local media outlets. Describe your most noteworthy news angle in the summary paragraph and then get into the who, what, when, where, why, and how aspects.
Greens fee markup
Most golf courses will give you a substantial discount for a large group, particularly if you’re scheduled for a weekday when traffic is low. You can charge the regular price and do quite well.

Or, you can pocket the discount, markup the regular greens fee by $10, and do even better.
Hole sponsors
Contact local businesses and ask them to sponsor a hole. To attract eighteen sponsors, make it affordable, say $100 or so. Show them a mockup of the signs that will be placed for each sponsor and your event program where you’ll list all your sponsors.
Corporate sponsors
For the biggest financial impact, approach large corporations and ask them to sponsor your event. Companies with headquarters or substantial operations in your area are your best bets.

Price your corporate sponsorships at a reasonable level, say $1,000 for a smaller golf tournament, and you’ll get a good response.
Put together a sponsorship request on your letterhead and be specific as to what’s in it for the corporation, i. e. prominent signage at the event, corporate logo golf balls for all golfers, newspaper coverage, golfing slots for top executives, etc.

Ask around within your group to see if anyone has personal contacts at the management level. Managers often have discretionary funds available for reasonable promotional expenditures.

Player sponsors
Just like individuals get sponsors for Relay For Life walks, Multiple Sclerosis bike rides, and other types of event fundraisers, so should your players. Put together a sponsorship form and ask each player to raise at least $100 in pledges along with their greens fees.
Silent auction
Solicit items from local businesses and even offer to pay for some popular items that will attract serious bidding such as golf lessons from the club pro or a set of new irons.
On the day of your golf fundraiser, setup a couple of tables full of donated goods and services. Tape bidding sheets and descriptions of each item to the tables so that golfers can place bids one-handed.
Make sure to get the bidding started on each item and encourage everyone to bid.

Do a last call for bids as everyone is gathering for the awards ceremony that wraps up your tournament, then announce the winners, collect the funds, and disperse the merchandise.
Hold a raffle
You can sell raffle tickets for quality prizes in conjunction with your event. They don’t even have to be golf related, but it does help to have at least some prizes such as a new golf bag, free round, season pass to top course, etc.

Price your tickets so that you raise at least twice as much as your prizes cost. If your prize costs total $5,000, then sell 1,000 tickets for $10 each. You can make even more if you get prizes donated.

To increase sales, sell tickets to the general public and not just to your group of supporters. You can even set up a sales table at high-traffic locations like shopping centers. obviously, follow all local regulations concerning raffle ticket sales.
Cash bar cart
Load up the back of a golf cart with ice and cold drinks, then drive the course and sell your golfers what they want. Cold beer and sodas are the best sellers, but don’t forget to include snack foods like pretzels and chips.

Catered lunch
Work with the club to offer a catered lunch to all your golfers or at least a boxed lunch of sandwich, chips, and a cookie. Mutual Funds on what you’re offering, markup your costs by $2 to $4 per person and you’ll do well. overcharging will actually cut into your total profits.

Summary
If done correctly, a golf tournament can raise a substantial amount of money.

Leverage all these fundraising tips and you’ll have a record-breaking golf fundraiser!.

There are several factors that must be taken into account while choosing the right fundraising event.

There are several factors that must be taken into account while choosing the right fundraising event. Therefore whenever you are thinking of starting a charity fund raising event, make sure that you have a clear idea of the area of what the fund raising will be used for, who will help run the fund raisin event and where the fund raising event will take place.
Making sure of what your goals are for your charity fund raising because there are some technical issues that you might encounter for instance your non-profit fund raising has to support a legitimate charity and need to have non-profit exempt status so that your charity does not have to pay taxes on the money raised.

Next while planning for Satellite Radio events you should not forget to keep in mind the ethical considerations of the events.

It is also essential that fundraising costs be kept to a minimum and the expenses ranging from 10% to 15%. Fundraisers must exercise extra caution when dealing with suppliers who are not at an arm’s-length arrangement and must avoid finders’ fees, kickbacks or incentives from suppliers.
Community standards must be respected when arranging for fundraising events. Events flavored with sexism, racism or age-ism should be avoided, as they will spoil the image of the organizations. Contest like eating contests, pie-throwing and similar activities are also becoming less acceptable because it carries the public to the world of hunger where people do not get enough to fill their stomach.

Therefore food wastage and conspicuous over-consumption in an event can become moral issues. Even consuming alcohol heavily is prohibited. Drinking alcohol is completely prohibited in the religious groups whereas moderate drinking is acceptable for others. Therefore drinking contests are not a good idea and even if it is included in any events then the current trend is to include no more than one free drink as part of the price of admission to an event and that is usually only done at dinners.

Smoking and gambling is also increasingly becoming an issue so it should be avoided as far as possible.
Besides these make sure to address the multi-cultural issues. It is also important to remain sensitive to inter-faith issues and avoid scheduling events during major holidays.

Remember to survey the premises you may use for an event to make sure it is wheelchair accessible, from ramps to special washrooms so that there is no problem for those who cannot walk. Arrange for the interpreters who could interpret words into sign language for people with hearing Ebooks.

Offering childcare, arranging special transportation and special dietary needs for some people will make an event more Music for everyone.

.

As a trustee of a charitable trust I have to be sure we have a secure way to control cash flow. The trust provides buggies for the mobility impaired at events around the UK.
Trustees we give their time free and the trust has three part time employees who with the support of volunteers provide the services at the events and management of all operations including cash flow.
To give an indication of scale we move the 130 buggies around the UK in 4 - 40 foot trailers as currently we attend 42 events this year.

Our Operations Manager and the Administrator plan the vehicle movements and attendance at the various events with meticulous care.
They control cash flow very well.

The whole operation works like clockwork during the summer season, which is the busy time.
Since becoming a trustee I have been impressed by the efficient way the trust operates in providing such a worthwhile service. Which is due to the detailed planning and control.

We now have to do some planning of a slightly different nature and it is testing our staff. It is Movie Reviews how much common to online and offline businesses and there is no reason why a charitable trust should be different.
Demand for attendance at more events is such that the staff may have to go to full time operation. This will come with additional costs. The decision is therefore important.

Do we take on more events, buy an additional trailer and more buggies plus pay the staff more as they move to full time employment?
To be able to make this decision the staff have been asked to quantify the additional events in terms of how many, where and when will they take place, what will be the additional revenue and effect on cash flow?
These same people who are so good at dealing with the operational plans and cash flow control are nervous about being able to commit to this forecast.
This is what is fascinating. These additional enquiries are real.

The trust will have to win the business - just as would any commercial online or off line entity.
The staff are nervous about facing the reality of what is a good business situation - an opportunity to grow.

They are competent people and yet can’t seem to get the importance of forecasting revenue and the effect on cash flow.
I watch these developments with interest. One thing is clear, no commitment to the forecast - no decision to proceed.

.

In part one of this series we looked at creating and organizing your school fundraising campaign by creating the game plan and keeping focused on your Entrepreneurs. After the fundraising has been completed what steps are needed to collect your money and wrap it up?
Ordering Your Product
Once your students and parents have finished selling, it’s time to place your order.

Some companies provide a master order form that simply needs to be filled out and be submitted by fax or email. Some companies are set up so that your order can be submitted online. Others require that copies of each student’s order form be mailed directly to the company or a packing house. Make sure you understand in advance how your order will need to be placed so that you don’t waste time trying to figure it out once you have all the forms and money in hand!
Paperwork
Double check your order before you submit it and after you receive any paperwork back from your fundraising company. A few extra minutes going over everything can save a lot of headaches later.

Keep copies of everything in file in case you need to refer to them at a later date.
State Sales Tax
Each state has specific rules regarding fundraising.

Make sure you are up to date on your responsibilities as to what you have to declare on federal, state and local tax returns.

You can consult your professional fundraising company for guidance with this.
Delivery of Your Fundraising Product
Many fundraising companies can give you an estimate regarding delivery time once your order is placed. Try to find out this information and pass it on to your students and their parents. Specific dates and times for deliveries are also usually provided in advance by phone or email.

Find out how your fundraising company will communicate this information to you and then advertise the details regarding when students and parents can pick up their items to hand out to supporters. Make sure to work in enough time that you can check the orders before passing them out, however, so that the process is smooth and no one comes to you saying the items are missing! A fundraising campaign that delivers promptly looks good to your donors. In the future getting additional funds from them will be easier since your reputation is already established.
Volunteer Appreciation
During the course of the fundraiser you may want to put a program together to motivate your students. A combination of team and individual awards tends to work very well. Why not offer a pizza party to the class with the most sales or a gift certificate to a popular store for the top seller in the group? Students and parents are always appreciative if their hard work is recognized! And don’t forget about your parent volunteers.

A tub of cookie dough or even a public thank you can go a long way in helping you to earn repeat help for your next fundraiser.

Missing Items or Other Issues
Make sure you are aware in advance of how your fundraising company will handle missing or damaged items. Will a replacement or refund be provided? Do you need to fill out specific paperwork or simply call to let the company know that there is a problem? How quickly will the situation be corrected? Having the details in advance will allow you to deal with any issues that arise and allow you to answer questions posed by your students, parents or their donors.
If your school’s fundraising campaign is run smoothly, everyone will be happy, your profits will add up and people will be more likely to work with you again in the future. .

School principals are going to have to put another skill to work. They are going to have to become skilled in fundraising and grant writing. More and more their skills at generating money to cover the budgetary shortfalls are going to be needed. Public schools are increasingly under budgeted. The United States government is trying to steer more money their way.

In the meantime until the schools get this money they are going to have to generate it from a variety of sources.
Principals Are Off Attending Fundraising Workshops
The new skill set that principals are learning is more like divining than institutional. Instead of taking their rod in search of water it
